Vatsinidi: On your right hand side, 25m off the road
from Kardamoly to Agios Nikolaos, is the cave of Vatsinidi. It has got
two entrances blocked with wall for the protection of the people that
once stayed there. It also has two huge halls with two big lakes of
seawater in them and many smaller ones connected with narrow lanes. A
hole on the ceiling of the first hall lets the sun come in transforming
the cave into a magical palace.

Katafigi Selinitsa: Close to Agios Nikolaos, on your
way to Trahila, you will find the cave of Katafigi. The potsherd and
bones found there testify that this cave was used as a place of
residence and worship. The impressive entrance with the big marble
slates was once the mouth of a river, which was flowing through the cave
creating channels and tunnels. As you move inner, you will find
magnificent complexes of stalagmites and stalactites on the walls, flour
and ceiling.

Katafigi Trahila: You will find this gorgeous three
level cave in the Trahila area. It has an impressive decoration of
square columns, stalagmites and stalactites. The modern potsherd found
there tell us that people in modern times used it as a refugee in order
to avoid invasions.
